Sydney – 12 March 2025 – Keith Thurman Dominates Brock Jarvis with Third-Round Knockout in Impressive Comeback

From the opening bell, Thurman looked sharp and focused, displaying the speed and technique that made him a former world champion. Jarvis, though game, struggled to deal with Thurman’s powerful shots and exceptional ring IQ. In the third round, Thurman unleashed a devastating combination that sent Jarvis to the canvas, and despite his valiant attempt to recover, the referee stepped in, calling an end to the bout with Jarvis unable to defend himself. The victory not only marked a successful comeback for Thurman after a period of inactivity but also reasserted his position among the elite.

Following the main-event, Thurman turned his attention to former WBO Super Welterweight champion Tim Tszyu challenging the Australian to a fight later this year if he is successful against Joey Spencer on April 6th.

In the co-main event. Michael Zerafa secured a seventh-round technical knockout, Zerafa dominated the bout, delivering two knockdowns in the seventh round before the referee halted the match. Despite potentially breaking his right hand in the second round, Zerafa maintained control throughout the fight. He later expressed his willingness to face fellow Australian boxer Tim Tszyu, who was present at the event

While on the undercard. Mateo Tapia delivered a stunning performance, knocking out Sergey Vorobev in the later rounds of their fight. Tapia controlled the pace from the start, landing clean, powerful shots that wore down Vorobev. In a decisive moment, Tapia unleashed a powerful punch that sent Vorobev to the canvas, ending the fight with a knockout victory.

Kirra Ruston captured the Australian light-heavyweight title with a sixth-round technical knockout over Tonga Tongotongo. Ruston dominated the bout, particularly in the sixth round, where he unleashed a series of powerful punches, including a decisive right uppercut that floored Tongotongo. Although Tongotongo rose before the round's end, his corner decided to stop the fight due to severe swelling around his left eye.
