Sydney, Australia - May 28, 2024 - Billy "The Hammer" Polkinghorn has inked a multi-year promotional agreement with Australia’s leading boxing promoter, No Limit Boxing.

British born Polkinghorn (1-0, 1 KO) has called Australia home for the past 11 years. A blue-chip amateur with more than 190 fights on his record, the 26-year-old represented his adopted nation on multiple tours including the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

"I'm thrilled to have joined forces with one of the world’s best boxing promoters," Polkinghorn said.

"It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to grow as a fighter and showcase my skills on the biggest possible platform. To see the things No Limit are doing with their elite level fighters like Tim and Nikita Tszyu, Liam Wilson and Sam Goodman, is incredible.

“If I can get some of the same success as them, then I’m laughing. George and No Limit Boxing have laid out an exciting plan for my growth in the sport, and I’m itching to be let out of the cage and step back into the ring again soon."

An announcement of Polkinghorn's debut fight under No Limit Boxing is expected later this week.

"Billy is an exceptional young talent and without question one of the best prospects to come out of the amateurs in years," No Limit CEO George Rose said.

"He’s matched it with some of the top, top fighters both here in Australia and around the world already, having duked it out with the likes of Liam Wilson and Harry Garside plenty of times in the amateurs.

“He has the experience and work ethic to take the Australian boxing scene by storm in the next 12-24 months and then it’s on to the world. We’re absolutely thrilled to kick off the next phase of his journey with No Limit Boxing.”

The acquisition of Polkinghorn continues No Limit Boxing's strategy of signing Australia’s elite talent, and providing pathways to international opportunities.

No Limit Boxing has been involved in two world title fights this quarter, featuring Tim Tszyu and Liam Wilson in the US. Mandatory challengers Sam Goodman and Andrei Mikhailovich are expected to compete in world title fights in coming months.
