WOLLONGONG, AUSTRALIA – May 29, 2024 – George Rose and No Limit Boxing are proud to announce that Sam Goodman will defend his mandatory undisputed super bantamweight world title against Chainoi ‘Rock Man’ Worawut at Wollongong Entertainment Centre on July 10.

Goodman will return to headline a fight in his hometown for the second time in 2024. The 25-year-old, born and raised in Albion Park, returns to the ring just over three months since his dominant 4th round KO win over Mark Schleibs in an all-Australian grudge match. During that fight, Goodman successfully defended his number-one ranking across the IBF & WBO and preserved a mandatory title shot against superstar Naoya Inoue.

The man looking to spoil a second-successive homecoming for Goodman is Worawut (25-0-1) (also known as Thattana Luangphon). The undefeated Thai fighter is ranked #8 in the WBC rankings with an impressive 15 wins by way of KO. The 26-year-old will get his first taste of fighting in enemy territory when he travels to Australia, with his last bout a UD win over Peng Su in March.

Two-time world title challenger Liam Wilson also makes his Australian return, following his defeat to Oscar Valdez for the WBO interim World Super Featherweight title at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona on March 30. Moving up in weight, Wilson (13-3) will face fellow-Australian Youssef ‘Uwee’ Dib at lightweight. Dib (21-1) last fought in March with a TKO victory over North Beauchamp and is the brother of former IBF featherweight champion Billy Dib.

AFL legend Barry Hall (0-1-1) takes on former NRL player Curtis Scott (2-0, 2KO) in a cross-code battle unlikely to go the distance, whilst amateur prodigy and Commonwealth Games representative Billy Polkinghorn (1-0, 1KO) will make his highly anticipated No Limit Boxing debut against Jordan Kasilieris (1-2-1). Fight fans will also see the return of some of Australia’s best rising stars in Brandon Grach, Liam Talivaa, Toese Vosiutu, Mounir Fathi and Shanell Dargan.

July 3 will also see the return of the successful No Limit on Fox fight nights live from Sydney, with Nathaniel ‘Cheeky’ May headlining against Jose Matias Romero for the vacant IBF Inter-Continental Super Featherweight Title.
